Never pay for a job
Real employers do not charge candidates for a job offer, a visa, a work permit, an interview, training, medical tests or “document processing”. In most Gulf countries the employer pays recruitment and visa costs by law.
If anyone asks you to pay, transfer money, buy gift cards or pay a “refundable deposit”, stop and report it.
Warning signs
An offer that arrives without an interview, or a salary that seems too good to be true.
Pressure to decide or pay quickly, or requests to keep the offer secret.
Contact only through WhatsApp, Telegram or a personal email address (for example @gmail.com) instead of a company email.
Requests for your passport, ID, bank card or one-time passwords before you've signed a proper contract.
Poorly written messages, or a company name that doesn't match its website or email address.
Check before you share
Look up the company's official website and contact it directly using the details there. Make sure the job appears on the company's own careers page.
Share copies of identity documents only after you've received and checked a written offer from a verified employer, and never share passwords or one-time codes.
Jobs from other websites
Many listings on JobsMena come from other sites and company career pages. When you click “Apply on …” you continue on that website, and any contact or agreement is between you and that employer.
Our responsibility
JobsMena is a platform that lists jobs and connects people. We are not a party to any agreement between job seekers and employers, and we are not responsible for payments, losses or arrangements made with employers, recruiters or anyone else. We remove listings and accounts that break our rules when we find them.
Report a scam
If something looks wrong, use “Report this job” on the job page or email info@jobs-mena.com. If you have lost money, also report it to your bank and the police in your country.
